I pledge to be independent and to fight for the best interests of our citizens to maintain our state's low automobile rates and to make sure that the process of rate review is more efficient. I pledge to make health insurance and health care reform a top priority of the Department of Insurance. And I pledge to fight against those who prey on our state with false insurance claims or bad practices.

My Promise to "Insure" North Carolina's Future
- Make health insurance and health care reform a top priority at the Department of Insurance
- Make auto rates fair in North Carolina, especially for good drivers, and to take the politics out of the review process
- Track down and pursue those who prey on our citizens with fake insurance products and empty promises
- Make our communities safer by boosting support for firefighters and emergency personnel
- Invigorate the insurance markets in North Carolina
- Reduce inefficiencies in the current rate review process
- Manage the Department from day one with a knowledge and understanding of this business, and use my years of experience to benefit North Carolina Citizens
